ABOUT SCVG VSMV

Sri Chathurveda Vidhya Ganapathi Veda Shastra Maha Vidyasthan (SCVG-VSMV), Athur, Chengalpattu (also popularly known as Chathur Veda Chaturveda Patashala) is a shining beacon in offering Vedic education to eligible young boys. From its humble beginning in 2012, it has grown into one of India’s largest Vedic schools with a strong reputation for excellence in Vedic education. This 12-year journey has been decorated with numerous successes and achievements due to the foresight and leadership of our management team and the rock-solid support of our stakeholders. Our hallmark is our uniqueness, and the ISO [9001;2015] and ERP implementation initiatives are apt examples of how we envision ourselves to provide the best possible experience for all our inmates. OUR TEMPLE

We have a temple within the premises of our vidyasthan that is aimed to foster bhakti and promote spirituality among our inmates. Temple routines are a part and parcel of our curriculum. Our students’ exposure to the routines and rituals of a temple helps in creating a parallel career path for them should they choose to become temple priests down the line in their careers. The temple also sets the right atmosphere for our students to offer daily prayers. It also adds spiritual fervour to all our karyakaramams at the Vidyasthan.
The temple has the following Sannidhis:

TEMPLE CONSECRATION

The Vidyasthan’s campus at Athur, Chengalpattu, has a temple with sannidhis for Shri Chathurveda Vidhya Ganapathi Swami – as the presiding deity, Shri Shruti Kamakshi Ambal, Shri Chandramowleeswara Swami, Shri Balasubramanya Swami and parivaara devathas. The temple was constructed, and its first consecration was done during 2014. As the Shastras insist, the temple is due for consecration after 12 years i.e., during mid 2026, calling for performing detailed rituals during the event. As we prepare for the upcoming consecration by August 2026, meticulous planning, community participation in terms of resource mobilization to the tune of the estimated value, and spiritual alignment will be key to ensuring that the event becomes a deeply enriching and unforgettable milestone in our journey.

SIGNIFICANCE OF THE EVENT

Temple consecration, in general, is a sacred and transformative event, marking the spiritual awakening of the temple as a divine abode. It involves intricate Vedic rituals, led by learned Vedic pundits and priests, to infuse divine energy into the deity and sanctify the space for worship. This event strengthens the cultural and devotional fabric of the community. The consecration brings with it a renewed sense of devotion, unity, and purpose, as the temple continues its role as a center for spiritual growth and cultural learning. As we prepare for the upcoming consecration by August 2026, meticulous planning, community participation in terms of resource mobilization to the tune of the estimated value, and spiritual alignment will be key to ensuring that the event becomes a deeply enriching and unforgettable milestone in our journey.
